The NBA All Star Game was always a special time for me. With my birthday falling on the same weekend as the game, it just meant a little more to see all the big names light up the score board on this huge day.  As for my favorite all star sneaker moment, it’d have to be at the 1996 NBA All Star Game. Anfernee “Penny” Hardaway was dominating the league at the time, with sick moves unheard of from a player his size. Wearing one of my all time favorite silhouettes, the Nike Air Max Penny One, he came on the court in style with a classy all black color way with hints of blue. The sneaker only, recently released to retail in 2014, stood out as the pair I could never have. My favorite moment during the game had to be when he gave Jason Kidd the sick ball fake on the base line, leaving him in his tracks while he went for the reverse up and under lay-up.  That move encapsulated his smooth play style and all the potential he had.
