I’ve got two specifically. The first is Chris Webber rolling out in the Dada Supremes in 2002. When those things hit the court, it reminded me of the first time I saw the Nike Foamposite One. I was entranced. I never owned a pair, but absolutely loved the swagger and the loudness of the shoe. Cut to 2010, when I’ve actually made it out to All Star Weekend in Dallas. The Copper Foamposite One is dropping that weekend, and I’ve actually got an in. I’m helping a friend that weekend who works for a prominent athletic store chain, and she’s sure that I should be able to find a pair in my size and scoop them that weekend. Well, long story short – none of the stores in the chain got anything over a 14. Completely struck out. Helped a friend back home get his 10 before they released in Canada, though. Ouch. Also, completely regret passing on the All Star KD 2s.
