Michael Jordan’s Final NBA Game

The Washington Wizards, although already out of playoff contention, lost the game 107 – 87 to the 76er’s, but it was more than just a game that night. His final stat line wasn’t something to be talked about with MJ finishing with 15 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists in 28 minutes.

Although the game was a blow-out, it was Michael Jordan who didn’t want to re-enter the game midway in the 4th quarter. He wanted to allow the next generation to play. With the urging of the players, the crowd and even the opposing team, Jordan tore his warm-ups off and reentered the game for his brief final appearance. His final points were almost scripted with opposing guard Eric Snow fouling Michael Jordan so he can score at the line and then brought out the game. Class act by-then Coach Larry Brown. It was a final good-bye to, my opinion, literally the best basketball player to ever play the game. Michael Jordan did it in style, with class and with grace.
