XLarge x Vans Era "Speckled" Heel

Vans has been a staple sneaker choice for many long before “Damn Daniel.” Now over 50 years old, the brand has thrived on being affordable and durable.

The waffle-soled brand has had a strong connection with many cultures, especially skating. That relationship is probably a reason XLarge has teamed up with the brand many times including in 2011 to celebrate the brand’s 20th anniversary. The sneaker model of choice for that collaboration was the iconic Vans Era.

XLarge x Vans Era "Speckled"

Nicknamed the “Speckled” pack, the collaboration was named after the unique print added to uppers of the sneaker. On a black base speckling of yellow, pink, and aqua was added. Black laces, a Vans logo tag, and leather liners and insoles are also used. The classic white Vans sole is the spot we see a heel tab with the XLarge logo added. The result is a clean but still unique look.

XLarge x Vans Era "Speckled" Profile

Available in limited quantities at XLarge locations, the kicks were sold with two matching tee’s and special L.A. Dodgers New Era cap. The Dodgers’ are a natural choice since XLarge’s only United States shop is located in the city of Angels. These were produced in limited quantities so you’ll have to turn to eBay searches or Yahoo.jp auctions to find a pair now.
