TISH: Dame Time

Today in Sneaker History Damian Lillard scorched the Utah Jazz to the tune of 59 points! The Utah Jazz were (are) fantastic on defense so it’s super impressive to put up a fiddy-piece on them and win! The Blazer point guard not only set a personal career high, but he also set the Moda Center (Portland’s home court) single game scoring record too. We’re sure Lillard remembers April 8, 2017 fondly.

Damian Lillard post-game

When Dame’s shot is dropping he’s nearly unstoppable. Don’t let his smaller frame fool you – my man can get his shot off lighting fast or just dribble around larger defenders. The four time All-Star gets buried in the league’s long list of Elite guards, but we’d argue that he sits as a top-3 point guard behind Russell Westbrook and Steph Curry. That’s not bad company to keep, both names will surely be Hall-Of-Famers when all is said and done; but that shouldn’t take anything away from Dame’s game. His Blazers has overachieved and underachieved over the years, but if he ever gets an elite running mate then we’re confident he’d make consistent shots at the Western Conference Finals. It’s just hard to find someone to come to Portland – maybe he’ll leave the Pacific Northwest and join up with a star elsewhere… who knows?!!

Dame Lillard

Peep some highlights of his electrifying play against the Jazz below. Of course the Blazer star had adidas on his feet! During the 2016-17 Season Lillard rocked the Dame 3. They’re sick, slept-on and performance driven… just like Dame, peace!
