Top 5 Brown Jordan Kicks

Chocolate, mocha… are we talking about lattés or shoes? Earlier this year news dropped that the community would finally be blessed with a retro of the cult classic, Air Jordan III ‘Mocha’. Originally released in 2001 the Mochas were the first Jordan IIIs to release in a non-OG colorway, and sneakerheads weren’t feeling them at the time. The shoes would pop up at outlets heavily discounted but as time passed they became one of the most coveted underdogs in sneaker collecting. Most OG Mocha IIIs suffer from midsole yellowing and various aging flaws so this retro is happily accepted. Be on the lookout for a December 2018 release!

The release got us thinking, what are the best Jordans dressed in brown? Brown is a color sparingly seen on Jays but there’s enough to make a top-5 list! tell us in the comments section and on IG if we got it right!

Jordan XIII Low ‘Chutney’

Starting off the list is a pair of 13 lows we’ve seen retroed recently, the ‘Chutney’s. Much like the Mocha IIIs, the Chutneys didn’t get the love they deserved the first time around but it’s impossible to recognize the shoe’s fall fitting colors.

Jordan Future Premium ‘Chocolate’

The Jordan Future proves that the 11’s outsole works in any situation. This Premium version in a rich chocolate colorway bridges the gap between casual and formal. Gold detailing and a gum outsole sets the Chocolate Jordan Future Premiums off.

Jordan IX Retro Boot ‘Olive’

Normally a Jordan retro with tweaked construction isn’t loved like the OG, but these are different. It’s hard to argue that the 9’s don’t look like boots anyway so Jordan Brand’s choice to validate our thoughts was a dream come true. The Olive colorway in particular kills it as a boot and lands at our number 3 spot.

Jordan I Pinnace ‘Croc Brown’

Sorry Tse, but the ‘Croc Brown’ Pinnacle 1’s are straight fire. We don’t love the price tag but these lived up to the premium vibe that the Pinnacle line aimed to achieve. The gold Nike branding on the tongue was a great touch to go along with the croc pattern ankle, heel and swoosh.*Note we didn’t include the BIN 2’s because those joints are damn near impossible to acquire.*

Jordan III Mocha

Did you have any doubt that the Mocha IIIs would take the number 1 spot? The dark brown  heel and toe hides the III’s iconic elephant print just well enough to keep heads turning. Simple colorblocking and materials makes the Mochas the BEST brown Jordan of all-time.
