As SB Dunks are making their way into the forefront of the sneaker community, again, it looks like we will be graced with some solid releases (fingers crossed). And next up, Jeff Staple and Nike will be continuing the wave of hyped dunk releases (Diamond Dunk and Concepts “Purple Lobster”) by dropping the third iteration of one of the Dunks that started it all, the “Pigeon” Dunk.

This release is being dubbed the “Pigeon Panda”, due to its upper being wrapped in a black and white colorway. The sneaker also sporting some green accents and Nike branding and a translucent outsole that pays homage to the 2005 release of the original Pigeon Dunks by showing the headlines the read “Sneaker Riot”. The only gripe I have about this sneaker is the “Staple-Not for Resell” in the interior of the sneaker…It’s already been done, just let it be (plus we all already know that these will in fact resell. If you want them “not to resell” make them a general release, but that’s clearly not going to happen). Although this is not a retro of the original “Pigeon” Dunk, something I’ve complained about previously, I’m excited about these. And maybe with the staggered releases, more people will have a shot to get a pair.

This is a good move for Nike, maybe they are finally listening to the people who actually buy sneakers and bringing back a model we’ve all been waiting for, in respectable fashion and colors. The Nike SB Pigeon Dunk being back (at least in some capacity) is great for the sneaker community! Do you agree?
