Kenny Smith Sets NBA Finals 3-Pointer Record

Kenny Smith is probably better known at this point for his antics with Ernie, Shaq and Sir Charles on TNT’s Inside the NBA but “The Jet” was no slouch back in his day. On this date in 1995, knocked down 7 3-pointers, which at the time set an NBA Finals record. The last of the 7 came with just seconds remaining and tied the game, sending it into overtime, where the Rockets would prevail on a last second tip in by Hakeem Olajuwon. Kenny was wearing the Nike Air Uptempo, which is essentially the foundation for the entire Uptempo family of sneakers. Well played, Kenny, well played.
