Dizzee Rascal x Nike Air Max 90 “Tongue & Cheek”
In 2009 Dizzee Rascal teamed up with Nike to help promote his fourth album Tongue N’ Cheek. Aiding Dizzee with his styling on the Air Max 90 was friend, artist Ben Drury since he knew a thing or two about Air Maxes. A premium quickstrike model the focus is on the pink tongues (literally) that had the album title stitched in. The body made up of a combination of premium leather and suede with perforated paneling on the toe and ankle. Dizzee’s silhouette appeared on the 3M heel and matched 3M dotted laces. The glistening plastic and rubber bits matched perfectly with the translucent outsoles which had the Dirtee Stank Records logo poking through.
