We all have seen PUMA’s rise into the basketball sneaker hierarchy over the past two years. Not only have they been able to sign a solid roster of athletes (including Danny Green, Kyle Kuzma, and Skylar Diggins-Smith to name a few), but they have also put out a very functional and quality product. It all started with the Clyde Disrupt and now we have received the latest model that has taken the sneaker community and court by storm… The RS-Dreamer!

The RS-Dreamer released earlier this summer with high anticipation. Now you would think that a performance-shoe making these waves would be tied a championship athlete, but no, this is the first signature sneaker of Dreamville’s very own J.Cole. Now Cole may not be an NBA athlete, but he has had his fair share of ties to basketball, and his love for the game shows. That love for the sport makes this signature partnership make perfect sense. We were first given a glimpse of the RS-Dreamer during the 2020 NBA All-Star game (you know… pre-pandemic times), as J.Cole showed them off courtside.

“J. Cole was intimately involved in the new franchise, from initial inspiration to the final design. This first signature basketball sneaker is intended to be worn both on and off the court – equipped with the latest technology while having a fashion-forward and disruptive design. The RS-Dreamer will be worn on the court by PUMA Hoops athletes and has already been spotted on several NBA and WNBA athletes as they ramp up for their respective returns to play this summer.”

Since the NBA and WNBA have returned in bubble form, we have seen the PUMA athletes hit the court in multiple colorways of the RS-Dreamer.

PUMA’s attention to detail regarding the construction and materials of the sneaker definitely adds to the appeal. Here are some of the features broken down by PUMA:

Fit: Fully knitted upper with suede overlays. Disruptive cord lacing system for a snug responsive fit throughout the forefoot and midfoot.
