People tend to forget that while playing in the league, he was an offensive force to be reckoned with. Despite all the controversy that surrounded his well-being and his attitude, his main motivation in basketball was to win. He eventually did win when he landed in the CBA (Chinese Basketball Association) with the Beijing Ducks, leading them to not one, but two Championships. Marbury also had a statue made in his honor due to the nature of him bringing pride and success to the country.

He might not have the wanted success that people had expected, but he succeeded his way. His NBA career might have ended ( While attaining 16297 points, 6471 assists and 1022 steals), but his legacy still stands in a country which basketball still continue to expand with its ever-growing population of Asia. We salute you Stephon, thank you for the memories & Happy Birthday.
