Brooklyn Museum - The Rise of Sneaker Culture

The Brooklyn Museum’s Exhibit, The Rise of Sneaker Culture, opens to the public today. The exhibit showcases 150+ sneakers of historical and cultural importance. Sneaker History contributors NYJumpman23 and TheShoeRestorer hit the ground running today to take int the scenery. Along with iconic shoes like the Pigeon SB Dunks, Player Exclusive Chris Paul Jordans and LeBrons from Sneaker Galactus, you can find original sketches and prototype designs on display from some of the most important sneakers in our culture’s history. Since many of our readers can’t make it to Brooklyn to see the exhibit, we grabbed photos of some favorites to give you an inside look. The exhibit runs through October 4th, so if you have the means to check it out, be sure you do.  If not, check out 20 Must-See Sneakers at Brooklyn Museum’s “The Rise of Sneaker Culture” Exhibit and follow the #sneakerculture hashtag for more.
