Ariza: Then ‘n’ Now

Trevor Ariza’s name typically doesn’t come to mind when thinking of NBA Journeymen but the Rocket’s two-way wing has played for six teams throughout his career. Last night his Rockets (which he’s played for twice) faced off against the Warriors in a heated Game 3 contest. Staying laced has never been as issue for Trevor with many PE options available wherever he found himself playing. Checkout some of his best footwear moments from each of his NBA stops. Send your condolences to him and the Rockets too, because they ended up getting murdered by the Warriors.

New York Knicks, 2004 – 2006

There was a theme once upon a time of NBA players wearing Air Force 1s on promotional releases. As a rookie Trevor made it obvious his days wearing Adidas (he played for UCLA, an Adidas school) were over; he’s only rocked Nikes sicnce and these lasered AF1s definitely make a statement.

Yes, he’s been in the league long enough to have rocked OG 2k5 Huaraches…

Orlando Magic, 2006 – 2007

Steve Nash wasn’t the only player wearing the Zoom BB, Ariza laced them up on multiple occasions during his time in Orlando.

LA Lakers, 2007 – 2009

Like most Lakers during Kobe’s solo glory days Trevor rocked Kobe Nikes. He would win his sole NBA Championship while wearing the Kobe IV.

Houston Rockets, 2009 – 2010

A year removed form being a Laker Ariza would suit up for the Rockets; peep his red PE.

New Orleans Hornets, 2010 – 2012

Nike continued showing love to Trevor with more PEs during his time with the Hornets. Above you can see two angles of his 2010 Hyperdunk Home PE; below he’s wearing the OG Hyperfuses. Washington Wizards, 2012 – 2014

The OG Zoom HyperRev was on the feet of many players during the 2013-2014 season. Above, Ariza drives to the hoop on Mike Dunleavy in a PE home colorway. Below, doing the same thing against Paul Pierce but in the 2013 Hyperdunk.

Staying with the HyerRev theme, Trevor kept wearing the popular 2015 rendition as he transitioned back to the Rockets. He continues to wear Kobes and Hyperdunk PEs too. How funny, and fitting, is the Curry fall in the photo below?
