Currently the sneaker world is talking about the upcoming Supreme and Nike SB GTS collaboration. But that reminded us about one of our favorite sneakers from the two brands, the 2006 Blazer pack. Released in April seven years ago, Supreme hit a home run with this trio. Not that Supreme has ever had issues selling Nike SB’s, but these stood out thanks to their design.

The original Blazer may have been born in the ’70s and made for the basketball court but looked to the 1980’s for their inspiration. The brand looked at the fashionable times and showed their love for Gucci with their take on the Blazer. Each colorway received the same treatment albeit swapping the quilted, premium leather upper for different colors. Each Blazer received a phython Swoosh to match the fancy uppers. Gold Swoosh on the tongue matched up with the tab on the heel and lace ends. Finishing off the upper was the addition of a Gucci-inspired stripe on the heel. Familiar white vulcanized soles finished off the look to the special trio.

Black, Varsity Red or Sail were the choices. The new take on the Blazers is arguably Supreme’s most popular collaboration with Nike SB behind their Dunks. Now nine years since their introduction, they still fetch a high price and look as good as the day they released.
