Air Jordan 3 (2013)
The story behind the Oregon Air Jordan 3’s add to the allure of trying to find a pair. Tinker Hatfield, the designer of the shoe for those that don’t know, had a hand in the creation of these but a former football player from Oregon who was interning at Nike chose the colors. The white pair was made for the football team for them to be comfortable while traveling. The black pair was created for the “Pit Crew” which is a fanatic group of non-athletes that attend the University of Oregon. Tinker wanted these to be an incentive for them to not only attend basketball and football games but lesser supported sport games. Both pairs replace the Jumpman on the tongue with the school’s “O” and the heel has duck feet added. The black pair has “Pit Crew” stitched onto the ankle. Complex killed it with the pics.
