Tim Hardaway, Golden State Warriors, 1993.

As one of the members of the Run TMC trio, Tim Hardaway is undoubtedly in the record books. But you might be surprised to hear about one of the reasons why.

On December 27, 1991, Tim Hardaway lost his touch. One of the game’s best point guards just couldn’t get anything to go for him. Hardaway set the NBA record for attempts without a make against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Tim shot 0-for-17 and the Warriors barely squeezed out a victory, 106-102. To his credit, Hardaway dished out 13 assists.

Hardaway may have had the most “off night” in the history of basketball, but it didn’t stop him. In the years that followed he landed a deal with Nike and found himself become the face of the Nike Air Raid alongside Spike Lee. Proof that it always pays to shoot your shot, even when you miss.
