Episode 12

Virgil Abloh’s influence on the fashion world is undeniable, but now that many general release sneakers are looking like Off-White knock-offs, is the wave finally fading?

Episode 11

On this episode of the podcast, we discuss Zion Williamson’s sneaker deal. Experts have said they see Zion’s deal as the biggest in history, pushing the Duke standout towards becoming a billion-dollar athlete.

In addition, we discuss the sneaker releases at this year’s Coachella festival and how event releases will shape the future of the sneaker business.

Episode 10

On Episode 10 of the Sneaker History Podcast, the team discusses the fragment design x Air Jordan 3 recently spotted on the feet of the “Godfather of Streetwear,” Hiroshi Fujiwara. Also discussed on this episode, the upcoming Travis Scott x Nike collaboration scheduled for later this year, and the drama surrounding the upcoming film, Space Jam 2 featuring LeBron James.

Episode 9

Following our last episode, where we discussed the partnership between Beyoncé and adidas, in this episode of the Sneaker History Podcast, we discuss two brand partnerships with some of the most popular artists out right now. Donald Glover’s adidas collab has been a long time coming, as we first saw the animated trailer for the partnership many months ago. While on the other foot, J. Cole and PUMA come as somewhat of a surprise, considering the North Carolina native’s appreciation for the Air Jordan 1. Check out the latest episode below, or on your favorite podcast platform.

Episode 8

The team switches things up a bit for Episode 8 of the podcast in order to focus on the ground-breaking partnership between Beyoncé and adidas. To say that this is the single biggest sneaker endorsement deal in history is actually quite an understatement. Nick, Robbie, and Mike, then tackle the topic of women’s basketball endorsements and the lack of coverage surrounding this year’s Final Four matchups, where Under Armour and Nike are battling to be the top school sponsors.

Episode 7

On Episode 7 of the Sneaker History Podcast, Nick Engvall, Robbie Falchi, and Mike Guillory, discuss the 30th anniversary of the Air Jordan 4. The surprising “What The” colorway of the Air Jordan 4, Jordan “Protros,” the legacy of Ken Griffey Jr., and the long-awaited return of Alen Iverson’s Reebok Answer 5.

Episode 6

On Episode 6 of the pod, the team discusses Nike’s surprise approach to Air Max Day this year. They also discuss Kanye West’s lemonade stand giveaway in Calabasas, California. That’s right, free Yeezys. Then the guys debate the future of Lonzo Ball and the drama-filled breakup of Big Baller Brand.

Episode 5

On Episode 5 of the Sneaker History Podcast, we turn our focus to the Air Jordan 11 Playoffs aka Breds. The December 14, 2019 release date is months away yet we now know just when to be ready for this iconic shoe in what might be its most popular colorway. Why do we need to know about this release date so far in advance? Here’s a hint. It’s not always about sneakerheads like us. The Jordan 11 is mainstream. Will that keep the team from buying a pair? Listen to find out.

Episode 4

On Episode 4 of the podcast, the sounds of nostalgia fill the air as the Sneaker History team shares memories of their favorite college basketball sneakers in this special March Madness edition of the show. Find out what teams rocked the most and heat and which player exclusives have the guys all in their feels.

Episode 3

On Episode 3 of the Sneaker History Podcast, it’s the controversial collision course of big brands and resellers. American Eagle, the second largest jeans seller in the United States, has teamed up with Urban Necessities, one of Las Vegas’ most well-known resale shops, and it is being met with mixed reviews. Find out what the team thinks about this game-changing partnership and how it will impact the future of sneaker stores on this episode of the pod.

Episode 2

On Episode 2 of the Sneaker History Podcast, find out which one of the fellas is not a Game of Thrones watcher, and who might be a little too obsessed with the HBO series, as Nick, Robbie, and Mike discuss the GoT x adidas Ultra Boost collaboration. Did it live up to the expectation? That’s up for debate. Also on this episode of the podcast, LeBron Retros versus LeBron 16 “retro-inspired” colorways. The team analyzes King James’ footwear and the difficulty to get the new releases at retail.

Episode 1

On the inaugural episode of the Sneaker History Podcast, Nick, Robbie, and Mike, tackle the tough topic of Skechers versus Nike. Although Skechers doesn’t typically step in the ring with the heavyweights of the sneaker business, they decided to take out an ad in the New York Times to let Zion Williamson know that they won’t split on him. The guys also discuss the Supreme x Nike Tailwind IV collaboration, as well as a few other topics.
