In the history of the NBA, there have only been four people who have been able to score a quadruple-double. And one man has had the opportunity to join that club multiple times. That person is “The Dream,” Hakeem Olajuwon. On this date, in 1990 the superstar capped off a strong month of March with the quadruple-double. And for the sneakerheads Hakeem Olajuwon’s Quadruple-Double came while rocking a classic pair of L.A. Gear sneakers.

On that night of March 29, 1990 Hakeem was pretty much unstoppable. Playing a home game against the Milwaukee Bucks he was showing off all the moves from the tip. He was able to notch the triple-double by scoring points, grabbing boards and blocking shots first. Then it was a waiting game to see if he could drop off enough dimes to reach double-digit assists. Eventually, he did finishing with an impressive stat line of 29 points, 18 rebounds, 11 blocks, and 10 assists.

While Olajuwon’s quadruple-double was impressive, if the NBA didn’t nullify an assist from a prior game, he would have two quadruple-doubles under his belt. But it still an amazing feat whatever way you look at it. An interesting fact from the record game is that came against another member of the quadruple-double club, Alvin Robertson. After Hakeem, the Admiral was able to do it, but no one has accomplished it since then. So the question is who’s next?
