In 2005 Nike SB released the “Team Manager” series which consisted of four brand and five different sneakers. Not surprising the 2 Dunk Lows that were created as part of the series were the most popular. One is the “Neopolitan” Dunk Low you see here designed by the team at Stussy, the other was a sneaker nicknamed “Tiffany” from Diamond Supply Co. Maybe you’ve heard of both brands (/sarcasm)? Its been 10 years since what many consider the height of Nike SB captured the sneaker world (or hype depending on how you feel about it). The thing you can’t deny is how this period of sneaker history is more than a footnote.

For the project Stussy’s team manager Robbie Jeffers was in charge of the direction of the sneaker. And nothing is better in the summertime then some ice cream. So that is how the “Neapolitan” theme came about. For those that never had the ice cream, it is made up of three flavors all in one. Chocolate, vanilla and strawberry all together in one package. The all-leather build represents each color flavor although Shy Pink and chocolate-brown make up most of the upper. The Vanilla Swoosh and branding complete the “Neapolitan” look. Finishing off the ice cream theme was a cherry on the tongue and waffle cone insoles. No Stussy logos on this collaboration, but no one forgets who made these kicks. Released with a box price of $65, good luck finding them around that price nowadays.
