The cover over the Air Jordan 6’s, representing 1991, was the iconic image of MJ in the Bulls home jersey hitting his amazing right to left layup against the Lakers during the NBA Finals. The “Black Infrared” was the sneaker that his Airness wore during those finals and was, appropriately, the base for the pack. But Jordan Brand replaced the standard Infrared bits of the sneaker with gold. Thus, gold hit the accent around the translucent parts, the tongue Jumpman and lace-lock, heel tab, 23 on the rear, and, of course, the outsole Jumpman.
