With the Golden State Warriors still on track to win 73 game in the 2015-16 season, the comparison with the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls team is unavoidable. Both teams were dominate most nights while having losses against unlikely teams. Both teams had MVP and All-Star caliber two-way players and were on coming off championship runs. However for sneaker fanatics that Bulls team will also be remembered for the Air Jordan 11 along with the kicks the team wore that season. So to no ones surprise the “Concords” were on MJ’s feet during the night of April 4th, 1996. The Bulls were playing a home game against the Miami Heat who they had beaten a couple of nights earlier. A win in front of the home crowd would give the team a, then, NBA record 44th consecutive home game win accomplished over two seasons. Also it would be a record 37th consecutive home game at the start of a season. And well you already know the story. Led by MJ, no surprise, who had 40 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 steals. Beside the team record the four steals meant that MJ was the fourth NBA player to reach 2,000 career steals.
