Let’s take it back 11 years for this week’s throwback entry. The year was 2004 and it was announced that mega producer Pharrell from The Neptunes landed a deal with Reebok to release a very special collection of kicks with the rest of the world. Pharrell is no stranger to fashion and sneakers. He has been working on his partnership line with star designer Nigo, Billionaires Boys Club. This low top was composed of lush and supple leather and original graphics by Nigo. This pair in particular was released in the fall of 2004 as the flip side version of the original white/red version. Sadly, the Ice Cream collection didn’t last that long due to some issues between Pharrell and Reebok with quality and distribution differences. It was announced recently that Pharrell will be working closely Adidas on his own sneaker and apparel line. Take in mind that Adidas is now the parent company of Reebok.

Back to the shoes. An all black premium leather is used and quality red and blue graphics are all over this pair. The big money symbols and diamonds really make this pair pop. The bottom sole of this pair was translucent and featured a Billionaires Boys Club (BBC) astronaut as well. The Ice Cream sneaker collection was also very desirable since they were very limited and every pair had a patch embroidered letting you know which special pair you own. Every pair also came in a special custom box that was made to look like an actual ice cream box.
