Chef Curry and the Golden State Warriors will defend their crown in the NBA Finals starting this Thursday. He meets LeBron’s Cavilers for the fourth year in a row, having won two of the last three meetings. Fatigue on this match-up rises from season to season, but it’s also a testament to the Warriors dominance (and LeBron’s individual will). Every year Curry’s squad enters the match-up as heavy favorites (why is pretty obvious) and Under Armour keeps him laced up in the finest of kicks. As their marquee sponsor, Curry typically unveils new models and exclusive PEs to the public under the Finals banner. From a statistical standpoint (and his own personal expectations) Curry has historically underwhelmed in June compared to his prolific regular seasons. Luckily, his Golden State squad features enough talent to win regardless of Steph’s numbers – for reference his Playoffs averages are still amazing, with 26 PTS, 6 AST, 4 made 3PT per-game (just Finals averages weren’t available). Curry is yet to win a Final MVP award in three appearances, maybe 2018 will be his turn for the individual award.
Like yesterday, we’ll be taking a look back at some of Curry’s best Finals shoes. Be sure to check back later when we highlight his teammate, Klay Thompson’s kicks, enjoy!
