The Air Jordan 12 Black/Varsity Red is back for just the third time in its original form. Originally released back in 1997 it was retroed for the first time back in 2003. In 2009 there was the “Flu Game” version that used the same colors but very different to the trained eye. The biggest change was the choice of black nubuck on the upper, slightly different accenting throughout and featured a sick emoticon, so see that doesn’t really count. And in 2016 we get to enjoy a remastered version, as close to the original as we have seen.
The 2016 retro of this particular colorway shares not only the same colorway, details and materials as the original. Also a detail not overlooked is the return of the original box form.
Third times a charm for sure.
