Klay Thompson in the Nike Hyperdunk 2014 PE Dunk

Where were you a year ago when Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson set an NBA record for the highest-scoring quarter in league history against the Sacramento Kings? I know where I was.

First off, I am a Sacramento Kings fan (please feel sorry for me for about the past decade) and I happened to be out celebrating my brother-in-law’s birthday. Well, we happened to be at a bar when the third quarter occurred and I had had some many beers.

Klay’s performance was an amazing shooting feat, although George Gervin disagrees, and on his feet were his standard go-to at that time: some Nike Hyperdunk 2014 PEs. It probably wasn’t the shoes that night, as Klay was just hot. He made all thirteen of his shots in the third quarter with nine coming from behind the 3-point line. He also made both free throws to notch the perfect shooting quarter. Both the points scored and 3-pointers made in the quarter are NBA records. Ohhh yeah, that night he went for 52 points helping lead the Warriors to their franchise-best 18th consecutive victory at home. Although they’ve shattered that record this season and Klay is now signed to chinese brand Anta, if you want to see these historic sneakers, you can check them out in the Basketball Hall of Fame.
