Homer Simpson and Assasins

Nike SB’s silver-box era is known for a wide variety of special colorways and collaborations. The most popular sneakers from that time period came from the Team Manager series, most notably the “Tiffany” Dunk Low. But forgotten are some other gems from that same era. That includes the Homer Simpson-inspired Dunk.

A March 2004 release, the sneaker is known for its unique color combination that matches the beer-guzzling, bald, yellow dad from the longtime Fox series. The body of the Dunk was made up of a combination of University Blue suede with smooth white leather. Medium Yellow on the Swoosh matching the fictional Simpson’s skin tone. The brown liner and laces a compliment to the brown/gum sole combination. An interesting feature on this pair of Dunks were that they used a more standard tongue rather than the puffy-stuffed tongue most SB’s were known for. Packaged with every pair were an alternate white SB laces.

A unique color combination that somehow worked, you won’t find many “Homer” Nike SB Dunk Lows running around anymore. So if you find a pair for a deal you better swoop them up. Because who doesn’t love sneaker designed around a guy much like us. You know a beer loving, goofy, lazy man who just wants the hottest pair of sneakers.
