Michael played the game with sheer determination but also with style, especially while wearing the Air Jordan XIII’s. There was a certain sense of grace he played with that made people watch a little bit more closer anticipating what was about to happen next. The basketball court was his own playground and Jordan’s basis of performing at the highest level every night goes by a thought process of believing that there is at least some kids or adults that haven’t seen him play so he owes it to them to give them the best. I only wish today’s players believed the same thing (with a few mere exceptions).
You could imagine the whole west squad tooks turns going after MJ himself from the guards Jason Kidd (Nike Air Flight Uptempo), Mitch “The Rock” Richmond (Nike), Gary “The Glove” Payton (Nike Air Zoom Glove), Nick Van Exel (Reebok Lightning DMX) and including one of the first Jordan Brand members Eddie Jones (Jordan Jumpman Pro), to the giants up front with the likes of then rookie Tim Duncan (Nike Foamposite Pro), David “The Admiral” Robinson (Nike Air Max Battle Force), Kevin Garnett (Nike Air Garnett 3) , Karl “Mailman” Malone (Apex Mailman), Vin Baker (Jordan Jumpman Pro Strong), Shaquille “The Diesel” O’Neal (Reebok Shaq Reflection).
But it wasn’t about just the game, it was Air Jordan’s night to shine, like he always does with every competition and occasion. But ending the evening the proper way in doing so by walking away with the 1998 NBA All-Star game MVP.

How fitting on that photo you have Kobe honoring Mike with his tongue wag. Also glad to see Kobe talking more about copying MJ in recent months stating he basically patterned his turnaround off of Jordan’s shot.
