While sneaker fans will remember another “flu game” later in his career, on January 8th, 1993, MJ laced up his Air Jordan 7s, despite making a slow recovery from the flu.  His game-high 35 points led Chicago to a 120-95 win over Milwaukee. He finished the game at exactly 20,000 points. It took MJ 620 games to reach the 20k point mark, the second-fastest to reach 20,000 points behind only Wilt Chamberlain, who did it in 499 games. However, Kobe in 2007 and LeBron in 2013 both took over the title of youngest player in league history to reach 20,000 points. Don’t sleep on KD, though!
