No we’re not talking about striking a pose, although Jabbar is known for keeping picturesque company. Nobody will argue that Los Angeles Lakers legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar isn’t one of the greatest basketball players to ever play the game. After all, he is the all time leader in points (38,387). But one thing you would never expect from the scoring leader formerly known as Lew Alcindor, is him spotting up his 7-foot 2-inch frame from behind the arc! But on February 24th, 1987, Jabbar lined up his Three Stripes behind the stripe and knocked down the only 3-pointer of his 20-year career. Surprisingly it wasn’t one of his trademark hook shots either. Not surprisingly, he went on to lead the Lakers to his fifth title that season. Peep the video below.
