Throughout his 25 years Kemba Walker has never been afraid of taking the big shots. His small stature was just extra motivation to prove others wrong and show that he was a big time player. This was never proven more than during his third season at UCONN when he lead the Huskies to the 2011 NCAA championship He hit big time shots. With his college being a Nike school it was no surprise to see him lacing up the Swoosh, although his preference was Air Jordans.

After his stellar junior season Walker took his talents to the NBA. With the ninth pick of the 2011 NBA draft the then Charlotte Bobcats chose Walker. One month after being drafted he signed his sneaker deal, to Under Armour. A surprise, since the Charlotte team was owned by Michael Jordan himself. Maybe the money wasn’t right or whatever reason but UA had a strong name under their banner.

Wearing Under Armour since his rookie year, Walker has worn nearly every model in their lineup in the past few years. From the Micro G Torch to the Anatomix Spawn and ClutchFit Drive. To end the season he was wearing the MVP’s signature model, the Curry One, in Hornets colorways. Although the team didn’t have the season they hoped, due in part to injuries keeping Walker out, they did play their best ball when he was in. Hopefully a clean bill of health and fresher Under Armour kicks will be in store for Walker and the Hornets.
