For his 25th birthday Sacramento King star DeMarcus Cousins is in the city of sin, Las Vegas. But he isn’t partying up like you would expect, well at least not during the day. The former UK big man is taking part in mandatory mini-camp for Team USA, the beginning of the journey towards the 2016 Olympics. Looking to continue his dreams of making it to the Olympics and building on his Team USA experience from 2014, Cousins is focused. Supposedly gone is the drama of the offseason with his coach, but you never know with the Sacramento Kings. One thing we do know is that the skilled big man will be in some fresh kicks.
A member of team Nike for his whole professional and short collegiate career, Boogie has been spotted in a variety of sneakers on court. From old Jordans, to the current Nike Basketball lineup, Cousins closet is deep. And rightfully so as the Kings have had a long history of special colorways (especially thanks to Jordan Brand members Mike Bibby and Kevin Martin). Lately he has shown a lot of love for LeBron’s lineup, but expect to see a lot variety especially during the upcoming season as the Kings are on national TV 12 times. Hopefully a fresh sneaker game can help Boogie and the Kings have a winning record (crosses fingers).
And hopefully for his 26th birthday DeMarcus is in Rio donning the red, white and blue going for Olympic gold.
