Only five players in NBA history have scored 70 or more points. Wilt Chamberlain, Kobe Bryant, David Thompson, David Robinson and Elgin Baylor. On November 15th, 1960, Lakers superstar Elgin Baylor scored 71 against the New York Knicks. At the time, it was the most points ever scored in an NBA game. Baylor’s 71 came on 28-48 shooting and led the Lakers to victory. The adidas on his feet would later become what legends are made of.
