Patta collaborating with Nike on an Air Max generally results in fire. Back in 2006, they released the special “Homegrown” Air Max 90 along with State Magazine, Amsterdam’s premier hip hop publication. The quickstrike was heavily influenced by the Dutch lifestyle. The sneaker was all premium featuring a mixture of suede, tree-leaf perforated leather, smooth leather and perforated nubuck, all in green. Orange air unit, liner and laces finished the sneakers theme while sitting on gum soles. The quickstrike release got it’s nickname from the title, “Homegrown,” of State Magazine’s CD compilation of Dutch Hip Hop Artists. Released at Patta included the CD and booklet which the pairs are a rare find. But even more rare is the hypestrike orange version that was an inverse of the green pair.
