Just like the title says, do you remember when the “Barf” Nike SB Dunk Low was released? Well it was 12 years ago this month that the sneaker was on the shelves at Nike SB dealers (and where they sat for a few months for many shops). Part of the silver box era of Nike SB, the sneaker had a couple of things going for it. One was its unique combination of colors. And secondly its weird nickname.

Even back when they released it made people give the WTF face to them. The panels consisted mostly a combination of navy pebbled leather and nubuck Light Chocolate. Outdoor Green was used on the midsole, heel tab, Swoosh, and laces. Oh and there was a gum sole. The material choices were right on line with what SB was doing at the time but they couldn’t overcome the “interesting” mixture of colors for most people. The weird combination lead it to get its receiving its nickname. Not your typical sneaker but it does have a small cult following and can be had now for relatively cheap. What are your thoughts on the now 12-year-old sneaker?
