Berlin’s solebox created one of the most impressive Pump 20s of the set. It featured an LED within the tongue’s Pump ball that lit up by pressing a button on the side of the tongue, something solebox would reuse to create two of the most sought after Reebok Pumps in existence. Drawing inspiration from a OG 1989 colorway of the Pump, solebox’s Hikmet Sugoer took a minimalist approach to this Pump.
The solebox Pump 20 is coated entirely in soft black gloving leather, accented by a soft pastel yellow on the Pump ball, Reebok heel branding, plastic side panel pieces (which glow in the dark), and tongue’s back. The tongue was done up in neoprene and the heel featured memory foam, adding even better fit to the already customizable Reebok Pump. The shoe was tied together with bungee lace, and ode to what Hikmet described as the “unforgotten and ingenious Bungee commercial.” To check out the full interview with him, click here.
