Ohio native Jim Jackson was the #4 pick in the 1992 NBA Draft for the Dallas Mavericks teaming up with both Jason Kidd and Jamal Mashburn to make up the “Three J’s.” The team never lived up to their potential and never making the Playoffs, along with a feud with Jason Kid, after 5 seasons Jackson was part of a large trade to the
Brooklyn New Jersey Nets. Jackson never found a permanent home as he was part of 12 different teams and made the Playoffs but never got a championship ring. He was lucky enough to be part of team Nike/Jordan for his entire career though, meaning he wore all types of different and popular models from the 90’s and 2000’s. A story of Jim Jackson and Michael Jordan was shared to the sneaker world recently. While playing good and talking trash to Michael Jordan, Jackson was hit with the ultimate response, “you know, you’re talking a lot of stuff to have my shoes on.” Now 44 years old Jackson still is very much a part of basketball as a Big Ten/Fox Sports 1 Network Basketball analyst and we can’t help but wonder what kicks he wears nowadays.
