Today NBA Hall-Of-Famer Chris Mullin celebrates his 55th birthday. If you need to know anything about Mullin then it’s the fact that he’s Brooklyn to the fullest. The St. John’s standout (x3 Big East Player-of-the-Year) is best known for his Golden State days where he lead the Warriors alongside running mates Tim Hardway and Mitch Richmond forming ‘Run-TMC’ (Tim, Mitch and Chris). From 1988- ’93 Mullin averaged over 25 ppg and solidified himself as one of the leagues best shooters; what he lacked in speed he made up for with skill and effort. Chris would make the Playoffs 8 times throughout his career and make a lone NBA Finals appearance with the 2000 Pacers but unfortunately he never won a ring. All of that’s okay though because Mullin has two Olympic Gold Medals, one in 1984 when professionals couldn’t compete and his second in 1992 with the famed ‘Dream Team’.

Commonly Mullin’s forgotten when talking about the Dream Team but don’t sleep on his numbers of 13 ppg, 62% from the field and 54% from 3-pt land – Mullin was the perfect release valve off of MJ drives and Team USA’s big men post-ups.

The relationship between Chris and the Warriors remained strong after his retirement as he held the team’s VP of Basketball Relations title from 2004 -2009 (he also had his number retied by GS in 2012). Since 2015 Chris has served as the head coach of St. John’s mens team. From day one Mullin’s been a Nike guy on court; lets take a look back at some of his best throwback kicks!
